Initially, when I decided I wanted to learn how to crochet amigurumi, I thought I would make a ton of miniature versions of my dog, Sparkle, and sell them on Etsy. Well, I never seemed to get around to figuring out how to crochet a Boston Terrier. Over the past couple of years, I’ve seen a few on Pinterest, but none that I could get the pattern for or that actually looked like her. Well, a couple weeks ago I was inspired to try.
This inspiration is owed to a friend who really loves my dog. I seem to be more motivated when the item is a present. I created as I went and tried some new things along the way (posable hind legs). She sits up, sits, and stands! I think I did alright! I was even able to achieve the oh-so-cute head cock and stubby tail. I paid close attention to Sparkle’s markings and she’s a pretty close match to the real thing. I already have ideas for my next one. Let’s hope it doesn’t take me another couple of years to do it.
